How does an event QR code work?
The QR code encodes event details in the iCalendar (VEVENT) format. When scanned, the phone offers to add the event to the default calendar app — Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any other.
Which calendar apps does it support?
The standard iCalendar format is supported by all major calendar apps: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Samsung Calendar, and more.
Do I need to include a time?
Date is required, but time is optional. If you leave the time blank, the event will be added as an all-day event.
Where can I use an event QR code?
Event invitations, conference badges, posters, flyers, email signatures, and any place where you want guests to quickly save event details to their calendar.
What if my event details change?
Static event QR codes cannot be updated. If your event details change, generate a new QR code. For events that might change, consider using a dynamic URL QR code that links to a webpage with the latest details.

Your visitors' IP addresses are never stored. On each scan we run a geo-lookup, then immediately hash the IP with HMAC-SHA256 and a daily rotating salt. The original address is discarded. No cookies. No fingerprinting. All data stays on EU servers in Stockholm, Sweden.
