Gym members are private individuals. Health-related services have heightened GDPR obligations. Qrius scan analytics involve zero personal data — no member can be identified from a QR scan event.

Qrius never stores raw IP addresses, sets no cookies on scan, and keeps all data on EU servers in Stockholm, Sweden. Full GDPR Article 28 DPA available on paid plans.

Can members scan class schedule QR codes anonymously?

Yes. Qrius never logs IP addresses or sets cookies on scan. Members scan and see the schedule — no personal data is created, no consent required.

Can I update my class schedule without reprinting studio posters?

Yes. Dynamic QR codes let you update the schedule link anytime. Print posters once and update the destination whenever your timetable changes.

How do I know which equipment stations get the most QR scans?

Give each piece of equipment its own QR code. Compare scan counts in your dashboard. See which equipment members refer to most and whether instruction uptake is morning vs. evening.

Is it GDPR-compliant to use QR codes for member check-in?

A QR code that initiates member check-in does process personal data (member identity), but Qrius scan analytics are separate from that — we only count the scan event, not who scanned. Your check-in system is responsible for the member identity processing.

GDPR-compliant by design — not by policy

Your visitors' IP addresses are never stored. On each scan we run a geo-lookup, then immediately hash the IP with HMAC-SHA256 and a daily rotating salt. The original address is discarded. No cookies. No fingerprinting. All data stays on EU servers in Stockholm, Sweden.
