Can we use QR codes on equipment for maintenance documentation?
Yes. Dynamic QR codes can link to current documentation, which you update as manuals change. The QR label on the machine stays the same.
Is QR scan tracking of employees an issue under GDPR?
Tracking individual employee behaviour via QR scans may constitute workplace monitoring under GDPR Article 88, requiring works council consultation in some jurisdictions. Qrius anonymous scan analytics avoid this entirely — you see count and device data, not individual scan events.
Can QR codes link to internal systems behind a VPN?
Yes. Qrius QR codes point to any URL — including internal intranet or VPN-gated systems. Employees scan, authenticate via your VPN/SSO, and access the internal resource. Qrius doesn't interact with the internal system.
Do you support bulk QR code creation for large asset inventories?
Yes. Business and Enterprise plans support bulk QR creation via the dashboard and API. Generate hundreds of QR codes with sequential labels or asset IDs.
GDPR-compliant by design — not by policy
Your visitors' IP addresses are never stored. On each scan we run a geo-lookup, then immediately hash the IP with HMAC-SHA256 and a daily rotating salt. The original address is discarded. No cookies. No fingerprinting. All data stays on EU servers in Stockholm, Sweden.
